Winnipeg Art Gallery Craft Fair
CRAFTED is four floors of handmade fun, showcasing over 50 artists from Manitoba and Nunavut. The new event will give Winnipeggers a chance buy local this holiday season. There is also opportunities for guests to get crafty with workshops on doll design, book making, DIY purses and block printing.
St. Norbert Farmers’ Market heads indoors
The St. Norbert’s Farmers’ Market is taking its fresh food, crafts and jewelry to an indoor venue for the season. Starting Nov. 7th, the market will set up shop bi-weekly at the Eagles Club, which is across the road from the summer market site.
More than 30 vendors will be there, with local products ranging from vegetables, meats and baked goods.
Just for Laughs at the Burton Cummings Theatre
Comedians like Gerry Dee, Robert Kelly and Cristela Alonzo will be taking stage at the Burton Cummings Theatre Sunday night. It’s part of the Just for Laughs Comedy Tour, and this year’s show will feature a relationship theme on family, love (or lack thereof) and all the nonsense in between.
Brave the cold for a free Slurpee
In celebration of 7-Eleven’s reverse birthday, the company is bringing back summer for one day for a national Slurpee Beach Party. Slurpee fans are being challenged to hang-up their jackets and get into their bathing suits. If they do, they get a free medium Slurpee. It starts Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Juno winners, KEN Mode get noisy at The Windsor
KEN Mode is playing a show at The Windsor Saturday night with Velodrome, Conduct and comedian Garrett Jamieson. The Winnipeg based band have been touring across North America over the last few months for th release of their latest album Success. The tour is wrapping up here in Winnipeg and it’s a noise rock show you don’t want to miss. Tickets are $10.
