A wanted man was Tasered by Prince Albert, Sask. police following a chase. Officers first spotted Dustin Trevor Sand, who is from Birch Hills, on Tuesday around 10 p.m. CT.
He was wanted on serious criminal warrants by numerous police agencies.
Officials said officers first followed the vehicle at normal speeds across Diefenbaker Bridge before activating their lights and sirens and trying to pull the vehicle over.

Sand took off, leading police on a chase that lasted for around 30 minutes. It ended when the vehicle being chased suffered a mechanical failure.
He then fled on foot in an effort to elude capture. Police dog Daxa chased down Sand, who then became combative.
At that point, police said Sand was Tasered out of fear for injuries to Daxa, police officers and the suspect.

He was taken into custody with no injuries reported.
Sand, 29, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evading police, possession of property obtained by crime, assaulting a peace officer, driving while disqualified and breach of probation.
He was scheduled to appear Thursday in Prince Albert provincial court.
